What is the absolute best thing about being a successful trader? Some may say it’s the money. The money is nice for sure. Some may say it’s the lifestyle the money can buy. You’ve probably seen a trading coach or ten pop up on your news feed with their Lamborghini in front of their oceanfront mansion. Some may say it’s the ability to be your own boss and set your own schedule. Who doesn’t like to be in control of their time and their life?
While all of these perks are nice, there is truly one perk above all the others that makes being a successful trader the absolute best profession in the world. So what’s the absolute best thing about being a successful trader? Simple, you no longer have to concern yourself with the opinions of others, and I mean no one. Think about it. In any other profession aside from being a successful trader, you have to care about the opinions of others, even to the slightest degree. And if you don’t, your income can significantly diminish.
As an employee, if you have a tumultuous relationship with your asshole boss, you can say that you don’t care what she/he thinks of you, but at the end of the day, you have to care or else losing your job can mean a significant dip in your income.
As a sales person, you can think that you’re free of the opinions of your clients, but if too many clients have an unfavorable opinion of you, there goes your book of business.
Building an MLM? One of the most important attributes of any good recruiter trying to convince their friends and family to buy lotions and potions and then get those friends and family to convince others to buy the lotions and potions is credibility. Good luck building your team with zero credibility.
You’re an Entrepreneur? You’re just like the salesperson I mentioned above. If your audience has a negative perception of you, good luck trying to sell the product or service you’re offering.
I could continue listing professions but I think you get the point. Now how is being a trader different? Well, as a trader, the only thing between you and your income is the market. Not people and not their opinions. You don’t have to keep a boss happy, you don’t have to keep clients happy, you don’t have to recruit anyone into anything, and you don’t have to sell a product or service. In fact, if you’re a successful trader, all 7.6+ billion people in the world could hypothetically sign a petition stating they would never put another penny in your pocket and you could still make millions of dollars per year.
